The reason for failing fast has been discovered! No kidding… When I go to fail, I like to fail hard and fast… You know… Get kicked in the nuts on the way! This is why I've put together 7 Good Excuses To Ensure Failure Fast. By the end of today's post, you are going to see exactly what you could implement TODAY to ensure success in your business and life.

Think about it… Do you REALLY want to fail?

I know that I've given my fair share of excuses for not doing things. Come to find out, those excuses were what held me back and is holding you back as you read this.

Don't worry though, I'm going to give you the excuses I have told myself and what I did to eliminate them.

When you are ready to quit, pick an excuse because any of them will work! – Unknown

So let's jump into it quick!

Good Excuse #1 – Not Enough Time

Now you are just being a baby. Last time I looked at the clock, we both had 24 hours every single day! So why are you still using this as an excuse?

Check this out! I bet that YOU could name at least a dozen millionaires…. From professional athletes to work from home, online business and marketing professionals who dropped out of high school.

What's the difference between someone that has done well and you? It's not the amount of time in a day…

The reason why this is such a great excuse, and why I put it as #1 is because YOU are not putting forth the effort it takes to actually make your dreams come true.

Luckily for you, the time has now come that you will make a difference and squash this excuse. Albeit, a good excuse, which is definitely keeping you from succeeding!

I used to feed myself this load of crap “not enough time” excuse all the time because I felt I was “too busy.” After I stepped out of my shoes (really… I got barefoot for this one!) and looked at what I was doing, I realized that I was selling myself an excuse because of FEAR.

I used to drink myself into a stupor every single day… That was when I had a low point in my life and was not succeeding in anything. I went through failed relationships and poor health… All because it was ME who was the reason for not having enough time. I was putting too much time into intoxication, which didn't allow me to actually think clearly so that I could become more in life. Luckily I got past that so that I can show you what I did to get out of that hole.

So how do you conquer this one?

  • Turn off the TV
  • Stop playing on Facebook & social media
  • Don't drink alcohol or do drugs every day (this zapps your desire to DO)
  • Start investing in your education to LEARN how to do what it is that you want to achieve

Good Excuse #2 – My Circumstances Keep Me From Succeeding

I hear it all the time, “I didn't graduate from high school…” or “I was raised on the poor side of town…” or “I have children…” or “I have (put ailment here)…”

The list, seriously, goes on!

YOUR circumstances do not keep you from succeeding. Your lack of vision… Your lack of goals… Your lack of desire… Your lack of dreams… THIS is what is keeping you back… NOT your circumstances.

Your circumstances is what has happened to you in the PAST and this DOES NOT define your future.

The moment you can stop blaming your past is the moment you can actually start manifesting and WORKING towards building the future you desire.

Back when I was a kid, I grew up with 6 other siblings. I was just one in a divided house… the sort of “your's, mine and our's” kind of life. My parents were divorced by the time I was 2 years old and I was subjected to the constant shuffling around. Being that there were 6 other siblings, we went without quite a bit. This is when, at 6 years old, I started to make a difference in my own life and figured out how to make money so that I never had to be without (candy mainly!). Now I use that experience to show how strong you can become because of the hardships you go through.

So how do you conquer this one?

  • Set a goal and a vision
  • Start focusing on what YOU want to accomplish
  • Start putting forth effort in the step-by-step actions needed to accomplish that goal
  • Do some friggen work and get it done!

Good Excuse #3 – I Can't Leave My Job

Cool! Then don't leave your job!

Does this excuse actually mean you PHYSICALLY cannot LEAVE your job EVER? Does this mean that you work 24 hours a day, 365 days a year (366 if it is a leap year) and that you NEVER sleep?

You make me laugh because I know as soon as you get off of work each day, you go and plop yourself right in front of the TV!

You sit there and watch re-runs of Seinfeld or can't miss the latest Game of Thrones episode OR your “team” is playing and you have to yell at the TV (as if you think it will make a difference).

I too used to think that I couldn't leave my job because it was a “security blanket” for me. Come to find out, that is an “employee” mindset.

The moment you find out that you can make more in one month than you do all year is the moment you start doing the step-by-step actions to turn your dreams into day-to-day life.

So how do you conquer this one?

  • Make a decision on what it is that you want to do on the side of your current full-time job
  • Find a mentor who can guide you and show you what you need to do to make your dreams a reality
  • Implement what your mentor says
  • Know that it will take a few months or a few years to accomplish what you want, and in the end you could be firing your boss!

Good Excuse #4 – I'm Not Good Enough To Be An Entrepreneur

This one is a really good excuse! When you have a dream to achieve something and you end up settling for an hourly job, you essentially do not care if your dream is achievable.

I used to battle with this conflict in my mind. From the time that I started in my first network marketing company until a couple years ago, I would constantly be consumed with doubt.

I would tell myself, “There's no way you are going to be successful…” or “You don't have the skills necessary to build a large business…” and “Why would someone want YOU to sponsor them?”

All of these things would cloud my mind and then I would not do anything because I doubted my actions.

I doubted myself and told myself that I was not good enough UNTIL I found something called “Personal Development.”

That sounded like the most boring topic of all time!

Come to find out, once I started listening to personal development podcasts, like Mike Dillard's Self Made Man podcast, I realized that by learning from top producing businessmen and women, I was able to increase my business.

I spent YEARS telling myself that I was not worthy & that I was not good enough… And the time, it was true.

The more YOU manifest in the Universe, the more those manifestations will come true.

There's something called self-limiting beliefs that is a program you run where you tell yourself that you are unable to do a certain thing. Those self-limiting beliefs are excuses and you can smash those!

What YOU tell yourself is what YOU manifest into reality regardless of if it is positive or negative.

Once I started thinking positively and telling myself, outloud, that I am worthy and I am good enough, things started to change quickly! (I know… I talk to myself outloud and I bet you do too at times!)

So how do you conquer this one?

  • Listen to 30 minutes of personal development per day
  • Start telling yourself, and believing what you say, that YOU are worthy!
  • Learn the things necessary to BE a good enough!
  • Get a mentor to guide you so that you can discover your strengths and hone the skills necessary to be successful

Good Excuse #5 – I don’t have enough funding

There's an old saying in business, “It takes money to make money…”

My question to you is, which came first? The chicken or the egg?

No joke! So how can someone who doesn't have money to start a business even begin? Is it even possible?

You probably have a JOB, right? And you probably get paid a certain wage per hour, right? (Do you see where I'm going with this?)

What that saying actually means is that if you want to INVEST, you must have money to do that.

When I started my first business, back in 2012, it cost me $429 USD and there was a monthly website fee of $20 USD… That was my only overhead. Within the first 2 weeks, I made back my startup costs and was making a profit.

Not all businesses cost that much to start. Some are less… Some are more.

Building an online business, for instance, does not take much money to start. You probably already have a laptop computer (you don't need anything fancy). All you need is to find what niche you want to work in and begin!

Because I didn't have the funds to start my first business, I ended up putting it on the credit card and then I paid it off within 2 weeks because I made that money back right away. Not all people will make their money back right away because some people start a business then don't do anything in it.

For those of us that partner with an online business, complete the training and implement what was learned, we will be profitable because we followed the step-by-step process.

So how do you conquer this one?

  • Don't quit your JOB, yet…
  • Find the niche you wish to work in
  • Find a mentor who can show you how to be successful, step-by-step
  • All this time, put away a little from each paycheck until you have enough to partner with the company (OR just put it on a credit card and pay it off within the month so that you are not charged interest on the card)
  • Continue to work your business because it could replace your JOB's income!

Good Excuse #6 – It’s not the right time

If now is not the right time, when will that be? How long have you been telling yourself that NOW is not the right time?

People who get ahead in life, make sacrifices (e.g. turn the TV off).

I used to get stuck in the rut of, “I'm not going to build my business this week because I have too many parties to go to…”

No joke! I used to use “partying” as an excuse for why NOW was not the right time.

When I started my first business, in 2012, I was approached two and a half years EARLIER (in 2009) to consider partnering. My excuse at the time was that I was in a class in the fire department and it wasn't the right time for me to start.

The truth of the matter is that the class and my studying ONLY happened when I was ON SHIFT! 10 days a month! (firefighters work 24 hours on shift, 48 hours off shift)… So out of a MONTH, I only worked one third of it! The rest of the time was my excuse!

YOU must ask yourself what it is that you want to achieve.

Is it time freedom?

Do you put too many hours in at work and don't spend much time with your family?

Do you miss too many of your children's events because you are trading time for money?

I totally get it. I was there too… I was trading time for dollars and the timing just wasn't right UNTIL I realized that if I didn't DO something different, nothing was going to change.

This was a realization I had to make and it is one you will have to make too.

So how do you conquer this one?

  • Write down your vision… What do you want to achieve? What are your goals?
  • Get on the phone with someone you can talk with about what it takes to actually build a business online
  • The time you spend watching TV should be limited (actually… it should be ELIMINATED if you are serious about making a change)
  • Build your business while you are on your commute to your job
  • Build your business while you are on your lunch break or scheduled breaks
  • Build your business once you put the kids to bed
  • Set aside one hour a day to build your own online business

You can work to build your own dreams or you can get hired by someone else to build theirs… – Unknown

Good Excuse #7 – I’m worried I’ll fail

I put this one last because this one hurts too much.

I have been afraid of failing all my life. I am not one that takes failure lightly because I want to excel in everything I do. So anytime I have ever failed, the self destruction I go through has been quite hard, mentally.

I once read something that Thomas Edison said about his journey through inventing the lightbulb.

I have not failed 700 times. I have succeeded in proving that those 700 ways will not work. When I have eliminated the ways that will not work, I will find the way that will work. – Thomas Edison

This was the quote that gave me permission to find ways that do not work in business and not beat myself up about it. The thing I had to remember is to never repeat a way that does not work and expect a different result (that's called insanity).

The moment I stopped worrying about failure was the moment that I started to have fun in building business. I look forward to learning ways that do not work because when I find ways that do work, the reward is that much sweeter.

One of the ways that I found that DOES work is utilizing online tools and resources to expedite success. By following a step-by-step strategy, you will be able to build your existing business and be found OR start a new business and launch it worldwide!

So how do you conquer this one?

  • Learn from your failures because they are there to teach you what does not work
  • Get a mentor who has achieved the success you are looking for (they may know a thing or two about what does not work so that you can avoid making those mistakes right off the bat!)
  • Do not be afraid to try new things in your business! Experiment!
  • Have fun! The moment you start having fun, your attitude about failure will change because you will look forward to learning how to be a better business person!
